No South River USPSA Match in May

April 26th, 2011

Due to the fact that the Georgia Trap Shoot is taking up the entire bloody range, there will not be a South River USPSA match on May 1st. Please join us Sunday, June 5th for our next USPSA match.

No NAAS Match on Sunday, Apr 24th

April 21st, 2011

Due to the Easter holiday, the range has decided to close that day. Therefore, there will not be a NAAS match on Sunday, Apr 24th. Please join them the following Sunday evening, May 1st for their USPSA match.

No Cool Springs Match This Month

April 9th, 2011

Cool Springs Gun Club will NOT be holding their monthly USPSA match in April. (4th Sunday) It conflicts with Easter Weekend and the potential impact (certified by an on-line survey) just doesn’t make it feasible. Please join them next month for another outstanding event.

However, East Alabama Gun Club is holding their usually fine monthly USPSA event on Sunday on the 17th of April. For more information including directions to the range, please visit

No Riverbend Match This Month

April 9th, 2011

I hate to do it but I have to cancel the 4/23 RBGC match. I will be at the Texas multigun the weekend prior and I am not sure what day I will be back. We also have the NRA in town doing a tour of our ranges that week/weekend. I look forward to seeing all of you in May. Right now I am thinking that the May match will be a USPSA Pistol match with Shotgun/Pistol in June.

Thanks!
Mark

South River March USPSA Match March 13th

March 2nd, 2011

Please join us on March 13th for our March match. This is our second match of the year and we look forward to seeing you there! There will be 5 super fun stages designed by Larry Turner for your enjoyment plus the classifier CM99-10 Times Two. The round count for the match is approximately 150 rounds.

We need your help with setup on Saturday, March 12th at 9:30 a.m. The first 10 helpers that are at the range by 9:30am when setup begins and stay until setup is complete will SHOOT THE MATCH FOR FREE the next day. (Yes, this is new!) If you can’t make it by 9:30am or can’t stay until setup is complete, we will give you a coupon worth $10 toward the match the next day. The more people that help, the earlier we can all be finished. We will also buy your lunch. You will be entered in our yearly drawing that includes a GLOCK Pistol Certificate! We will be finalizing set up on Sunday morning at 8:30 am. We would appreciate each squad helping to tear down the stage they finish on and for help with any of the stages that have no squad finish on them. Thanks very much to those of you that continue to help us each month. We know who you are and we appreciate your help!

If you can help with setup, please email Larry Turner at turnerover@comcast .net. We need to confirm enough help for setting up the match before Saturday morning. Please be aware if we can’t get enough setup help, then we can’t put on the match.

North Atlanta Action Shooters is planning on hosting a Range Officer certification seminar in an April/May time frame. If you are interested, please send an email for more information to contact@northatlantaactionshooters.org.

If you shot the match last month and noticed Glenn Miller taking pictures, you can find them at www.flickr.com/photos/glenn-m1911. For more information, you can contact Glenn at gwmiller1@gmail.com.

Big congratulations go out to some of our shooters winning at the Florida Open! Dave Sevigny – Limited, Randi Rogers – Limited Lady, Kaci Cochran – Open Lady, Bill Munier – Single Stack! Way to go!! Great job and best of luck at your future matches this season!

Good Shooting!
