River Bend IPSC April USPSA Match Results

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Thanks for coming out to the RBGC Practical Shooters match today! The weather was perfect and the hotdogs were excellent! If all goes well the “Weenie Woman” will be a regular at all of our matches. Stage 3 was used as the classifier as determined by the toss of a coin. For those who want the specifics it was a 2000 Liberty Silver Dollar and the toss came up heads.

Please spread the word about our match and lets make May a big month!

River Bend April USPSA Match

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Just an update on the April 28th RBGC IPSC USPSA match at River Bend Gun Club.

Billy and Peter will have 6 stages for us, very likely 4 field courses and 2 speed shoots, so April will not run as long as March did. We welcome those that would like to show up by 8:00AM to help set up with $5.00 off of their next match. Please check in with Jeffrey by 8 AM so that he can mark you down. For those that cannot make it by 8 but still want to help, jump-in we can always use an extra hand. (more…)

River Bend IPSC March USPSA Match Results

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

River Bend Gun Club IPSC (GA-23) hosted their inaugural USPSA match on March 24th. Fifty-nine competitors came out to shoot 8 challenging stages. River Bend has a really nice facility with 11 bays, ample parking, picnic area, and air-conditioned clubhouse. The stages were good, and they did something unique. They set up two classifier stages and announced at the shooters’ meeting that a coin would be tossed after the match was over to determine which one would count as the actual classifier. I like that! It eliminates grand-bagging and also makes classifier reshoots pointless, as you don’t know which one is the actual classifier. I’m going to have to think about that for South River!

Here are the match results:

Congratulations to all to participated, and congratulations to Mark Leeber and his staff of volunteers on a great start for the Georgia Section’s latest USPSA club!

Here are some pictures (fuzzy phone pictures, sorry) showing some of the facility. (more…)
