I understand several people came out Saturday for a match that wasn’t there, and for that, I apologize. Please join Cool Springs at their next regularly scheduled Sunday match.

Cool Spring Shooting on March 30th
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008Due to not wishing to conflict with Easter Sunday, the regular monthly Cool Spring match will be pushed back a week to March 30th. There will be no match at Cool Springs on March 23rd. Cool Springs will resume their regular schedule in April.
Cool Spring Match Date for December
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007The December Cool Springs match, which would have been held on Sunday, December 23rd, has been moved back to Saturday, December 29th, for being so close to Christmas. This should be better for most of their shooters. The Cool Springs match will resume its normal match date on the 4th Sunday of the month in January, 2008. Thanks!

Our good friend Debi Davis, who many of you know as John Golson’s lovely and cheerful wife, passed away suddenly last Tuesday afternoon. As John was on a business trip her departure was not discovered until late Wednesday /early Thursday.
John is with friends and family, and is doing as well as can be expected. To all who have already extended their offers of love and support, he wants you to know he is eternally grateful.
No Cool Springs Match This Sunday, Aug 26th
Thursday, August 23rd, 2007There will be no USPSA match at Cool Springs this Sunday, August 26th. Billy McCullough wrote to me saying “There was not enough response for help, so there will be no match this Sunday. We hope things will be better in September.”
Folks, I’ll say it again. If everyone who regularly shoots a given match would just commit to coming out ONE TIME per year to help with setup, all the of the clubs in the Georgia Section would have more help than they would know what to do with. Bill Ham used to tell me that IPSC as a sport rides on the back of its volunteers, and that’s absolutely true.
