SAPSC Dec 5th Fun Shoot Results

SAPSC Dec 5th Fun Shoot Results:

27 shooters came out to play tonight, including one new (to us), Bill Beard. Bill shot very well, and did so safely! Tip o’ the hat, Bill. We were faced with an interesting decision on stage 2 – shoot across, or up-and-down. Hmmm….

Stage 1 Stage 2

Please note that SAPSC will not be holding a match on Tuesday, December 26 as the range will be closed. Our regular monthly USPSA match will instead be held on December 19. Which classifier we’ll shoot has not yet been decided.

Also note that Cool Springs will not be having a match in December.

Cherokee Gun Club will be hosting their monthly USPSA match in Gainesville this Saturday, December 9. For more information, including directions, please visit cherokeeipsc.org. I hope to see you there.

Stay safe,
…Mark

So which way was better on stage 2? Across, reload, across (my guess) or up/down, up/reload/down, up/down?

Okay… Braxton suggested to start with the bottom left target then shoot the one above it, transition to the center targets shoot bottom to top, then the right targets in the same way.. then reload and do it all again two more times through. I shot it that way and managed to win the stage.. but only by the misfortune of Bruce and Orlando who had some mag problems. It felt weird not transitioning left to right then back to the left…. I guess I need to practice this one a bit before it feels right.

I did it up down, up down, up down. I think it worked great for me.
