South River February 7th USPSA Match

February 4th, 2010

Please join us this weekend for our February pistol match. There will be 6 stages designed by Larry Turner for your enjoyment plus the classifier CM 99-33 Raw Deal.

We really need your help with setup on Saturday, February 6th at around 9:30 a.m. if you can spare a couple of hours. The more people that help, the earlier we can all be finished. We will buy your lunch and give you a coupon worth $10 toward the match the next day. You will also be entered in our yearly drawing that includes a GLOCK Pistol Certificate and a membership to South River Gun Club! We will be finalizing set up on Sunday morning, February 7th at 8:30 a.m. before shooting begins. We would appreciate each squad helping to tear down the stage they finish on and for help with any of the stages that have no squad finish on them. Thanks very much to those of you that continue to help us each month. We know who you are and we appreciate your help!

If you can help with setup, please email Larry Turner at ‘turnerover@comcast.net’. We need to confirm enough help for setting up the match before Saturday, Feb 6th.

Good Shooting!

Welcome to the Georgia Section

January 29th, 2007

12-john-mcwilliams-1.JPGThis is the website for USPSA Practical Shooting in Georgia. Here you’ll find information on our clubs, details on the matches we host, and information on how to get started in this great sport.

Just as Georgia offers everything from the seashore to the mountains, Practical Shooting in Georgia runs the gamut from small 3 or 4 stage indoor matches on weekday evenings to full, national match quality, day-long, 8 stage outdoor events. Every month, just about every week of the year, one of Georgia’s USPSA affiliated clubs is hosting a match to challenge the expert shooter and introduce the novice to the most fun sport around: USPSA Practical Shooting.

January 23rd, 2010

Riverbend Gun Club USPSA match this SUNDAY, Jan 17th

January 12th, 2010

This weekend is the 3rd Sunday and will be our River Bend USPSA match. Due to the ice and snow we have not been able to move the props to the new range so we will have it on the Cowboy range (where it has been for the last 3 years).

I know that Jimmy Nortz and Jason Koon have stages already designed so it should be a great, and challenging, match. For those who want to help with set-up on Saturday please reply to me and I will forward your name to Jimmy or Jason.

Registration starts about 9AM and the first shot is at 10AM Sunday so please come out and enjoy what should be some much warmer weather and a great first match of 2010!!!

Thanks!
Mark

P.S. I want to make sure that everyone gets the word that the match is not on the 4th Saturday anymore so please help me by telling all your shooting buddies.

No South River Match in December

December 4th, 2009

There will not be a regular December South River Gun Club IPSC match this month. Larry Turner is having an operation on his foot so putting together a 7-stage match is the last thing on his mind right now; please join us in wishing Larry all the best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Our next regular match will be the first sunday in January, 2010. John Golson will be filling in as guest match director.

We wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and thank you for coming out to play with us this year!

Sincerely,

Bill & Cindy Noyes
